TASK DESCRIPTION

T167574: Wikidata entities used in a page are not shown in preview added the showing of the "Wikidata entities used in this page" to previews of an edit, but it did so in a manner that is not useful when editing. When previewing, it would be much more useful to see the list of entities used in that preview.

Tests:

  1. Create a page that uses no entities.
  2. Click 'edit'.
  3. Alter the wikitext such that it will use entities.
  4. Click 'Show preview'.

At the bottom of the page, there should be a section "Wikidata entities used in this preview" containing the entities added in step 3. There should not be a "Wikidata entities used in this page" section.

  1. Create a page that uses some entities.
  2. Click 'edit'.
  3. Alter the wikitext such that it will use at least one additional entity
  4. Click 'Show preview'.

At the bottom of the page, there should be a section "Wikidata entities used in this preview" containing the all the entities including the one added in step 3. There should not be a "Wikidata entities used in this page" section.

  1. Create a page that uses some entities.
  2. Click 'edit'.
  3. Alter the wikitext to remove the use of at least one entity, leaving some other entities used.
  4. Click 'Show preview'.

At the bottom of the page, there should be a section "Wikidata entities used in this preview" that contains only the entities still used after step 3. There should not be a "Wikidata entities used in this page" section.

  1. Create a page that uses some entities.
  2. Click 'edit'.
  3. Alter the wikitext to remove the use of at least one entity, leaving some other entities used. Also alter the wikitext to add the use of at least one new entity.
  4. Click 'Show preview'.

At the bottom of the page, there should be a section "Wikidata entities used in this preview" that does not contain the entities removed in step 3 and does contain the entities added in step 3. There should not be a "Wikidata entities used in this page" section.

  1. Create a page that uses some entities.
  2. Click 'edit'.
  3. Alter the wikitext to remove the use of all existing entities. Also alter the wikitext to add the use of at least one new entity.
  4. Click 'Show preview'.

At the bottom of the page, there should be a section "Wikidata entities used in this preview" that contains only the entities added in step 3. There should not be a "Wikidata entities used in this page" section.

  1. Create a page that uses some entities.
  2. Click 'edit'.
  3. Alter the wikitext to remove the use of at all entities.
  4. Click 'Show preview'.

At the bottom of the page, there should be no section for "Wikidata entities used in this preview" or "Wikidata entities used in this page".

  1. Create a page that uses no entities.
  2. Click 'edit'.
  3. Alter the wikitext without adding use of any entities.
  4. Click 'Show preview'.

At the bottom of the page, there should be no section for "Wikidata entities used in this preview" or "Wikidata entities used in this page".

  1. Perform any of the above tests, but click 'Show changes' instead of 'Show preview'.

There should be no "Wikidata entities used in this preview" section. There should be a section for "Wikidata entities used in this page" that shows the entities used in the saved version of the page, or there should be no "Wikidata entities used in this page" section if there are no entities used in the saved version of the page.
