I've also used Moodle successfully in running one of the these
workshops. Its you're choice - use the technologies which you feel most
comfortable using.  Keeping newbies together in the wiki is a challenge
-- having a dedicated forum helps keep folk together and having a place
to chat about concerns or ask for help.
