Oh, right, I forgot about the OER metadata template. It's this kind of data, collected from the authors of each learning resource, that will provide the foundation for better access to materials in the future (i.e., discussion on resource repository).
i've tried it out -- lots of potential here. (I'm not convinced that we should have the template autocategorise the resources because it limits our ability to rearrange categories later...I'd be interested to discuss this, and other, ideas in more detail.) I'm interested to help with planning and implementation of the OER metadata template. We have a categories workgroup: http://wikieducator.org/Workgroup:Categories (always looking for new members :) -- a workgroup focused on metadata would be a good addition.
