Yes, OER_metadata is one option.

I think a more wiki-like option is:

1) Take advantage of your favorite search engine's indexing of
WikiEducator.  We build sitemaps nightly so that Google and other full
text search engines can find fresh WikiEducator content quickly.

2) Make good use of Mediawiki's Category system.  You can build
hierarchies of keyword-oriented categories to make it easy to find
your resource by subject, topic, grade level, national learning
standard, license, etc.

(And, at least in the English WikiEducator, enabling the HotCat gadget
in your http://wikieducator.org/Special:Preferences simplifies quickly
and consistently tagging pages you are working on.)
