Hi Everyone, The OER Foundation is pleased to announce that the Board of Management and Professor Manoj Soni, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University <http://www.baou.edu.in/> (BAOU) has confirmed that the University will join the OER Tertiary Education Network (OERTen) and assist with the co-design and implementation of the international OERu initiative.
The OERTen network will now be able to accredit OER learning in Africa, Asia, North America and Oceania. On joining the OERTen, BAOU achieves a tripple accolade: - The first founding anchor partner from India<http://wikieducator.org/India>-- one of the worlds largest democracies. - The fist Asian anchor partner to join this OER innovation partnership. - The *tenth* post-secondary accredited teaching institution to join OER*Ten (*an informal strategic membership target we set ourselves for the November meeting of anchor partners). The OER Foundation intimated that 2011 would be a quantum shift year for the mainstream adoption of OER in post-secondary education.
