Hello Roel,

In 2011 each country decides for itself how many pictures are considered to be
in the top ... of that specific country. Only the top 10 of those were
nominated for the international contest.

In 2011 we had with the contest in Belgium & Luxemburg 22 winning pictures.
Only the top 10 of those were nominated for the international contest. It is
possible that a country only chooses 3 winning pictures, they still should send
in the best 10 pictures for the international contest.

Greetings - Romaine

PS: Maybe it is an idea we organize a monthly IRC office hours, but then for
all sorts of questions regarding Wiki Loves Monuments. (Of course at other
moments the IRC channel #Wikilovesmonuments @ freenode can be used as well for
questions.)

Hi Romaine,
I didn't quite get that, sorry I'm confused this is the first time we're
participating.
So the national contest gets to nominate 2 images? While there would be
worldwide nominations where 10 would be chosen by practically anyone?

Regards,
Roel

There are two sets of nominations: one are the worldwide nominations: that are
10 pictures, two are the national nominations: that number was in 2011 all to
the organization to determine, with the top 10 of those getting into the
international contest.

Greetings - Romaine

Hi,
Going over the timeline that has been set, were confident we can compress the
tasks you have provided so we can hold a launch of the project in the
Philippines on March 24. Uploading period of entries would still be in
conformity with what is provided, from September 1 to 30. So practically from
March 24 until September 30 they can take as much photos they would want to
enter in the competition but could only upload them from September 1 to 30.

I'd like to know though how many entries can a country nominate, is it still 10?

Regards,
