http://www.giswiki.org/hjl_geocoding.htm is probably the best option. The template should already have a variable for lat/lon, and automatically create the coordinates templates from that (this should work properly if you work from the Wikipedia main namespaces). Just remember that if it says W you need to make it negative, and the same for South.
