Some people just want the accolade and not a material prize. Others have sudden 
changes of circumstances that take them off line for a while.

I suggest you leave a note on their talkpage and leave them the option to get 
in touch if they want to claim their prize. 

If the rules don't already cover this situation it is an idea to specify how 
long you will keep the prize for if it is unclaimed.
