(Apologies for cross-posting and for the message being in English only!)
Dear WLM organizers and participants, Good news! Following up with my last message, the Connection team <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Campaigns/Foundation_Product_Team> at the Wikimedia Foundation has launched the CampaignEvents extension <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:CampaignEvents> on Wikimedia Commons today. More details are available on Commons:Event organizers <https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Event_organizers>. The features now available are: - Event Registration <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Event_Center/Registration> - A tool that helps organizers and participants manage event registration directly on Commons. - Collaboration List <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Campaigns/Foundation_Product_Team/Event_list> - A global list of events accessible at Special:AllEvents <https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:AllEvents>. - Invitation List <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Campaigns/Foundation_Product_Team/Invitation_list> - A tool to help organizers find editors who might want to join, based on their past contributions. Please note the extension comes with a new user right <https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Event_organizers#Seeking_the_rights> on Commons. You will need to have this right to use Event Registration and Invitation List. Regarding Invitation List, please be aware that this feature will not be as useful to Wikimedia Commons in its current form. However, this feature was made available so people can try it out and give suggestions to the team on how to improve it, especially for Commons. Let us know via the discussion page <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:CampaignEvents> if you have any questions. I'm also working on an engagement plan for the extension. If you are an organizer and would like to collaborate or learn more, please reach me via <[email protected]>.
