WikiDonne User Group <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiDonne> is pleased
to announce the launch of the sixth edition of Wiki Loves Sport
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_Sport_2024>, which will take
place from 17 July to 22 September 2024. This international contest aims to
improve and expand sports-related content on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia
platforms (Wikiquote, Wikibooks, Wikidata etc), with a particular focus on
often under-represented groups and athletes (women, LGBTQIA+ community,
para athletes).

   - FIBA U20 EuroBasket

   July.
   - EuroGames Vienna <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EuroGames> from 17 to
   20 July.
   - Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup
   <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Women%27s_Twenty20_Asia_Cup> from 19
   to 28 July.
   - Paris 2024 Summer Olympic games
   <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Summer_Olympics> from 26 July to 11
   August.
   - US Open <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_US_Open> from 26 August to
   8 September.
   - Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic games
   <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Summer_Paralympics> from 28 August
   to 8 September.
   - FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup

*Participation*: The contest will take place mainly online, with the
possibility of local in-person events. Users of any Wikimedia language are
invited to participate and contribute.

*Partners*: The contest is organized in partnership with ASSIST

by Wikimedia
