Dear all, About four months ago, I was contacted by a freelance journalist named Duncan Fyfe with a couple of questions about deletion requests (AfDs) on the English Wikipedia. He explained that he was preparing an article for the *Wired* magazine and had already contacted other experienced Wikipedians with similar questions. I made a quick search to discover that Duncan Fyfe is a legitimate journalist and *Wired* is a reputable magazine, so I answered the questions to the best of my ability.
Over the following two months, he followed up with more specific questions about my involvement in AfDs on the English Wikipedia, my personal interpretation of notability, and the interactions with single-purpose temporary accounts who are there to illustrate their point. I provided detailed answers to all those questions. Today, he wrote me that the article was sent to *Wired*’s fact-checker Daniel Roman, who might have some additional questions before it gets published. So far, I do not see a clear sign that this is a scam, but I would like to know if anyone else was recently contacted by the same journalist or others working for *Wired* with questions about Wikipedia? Thank you. Best regards, Kiril
