I wonder why so much aggression here?

Diptanshu has a point - even if "ignorant" is perhaps not the best word,
the majority of internet users are, in all probability, unaware of
Wikipedia policies and editing traditions. Moreover, we all know perfectly
well that as IP users, they have virtually nil chances that they edits,
whatever they were, to controversial articles would not be instantly
reverted by one or other warring party. The very fact that such petitions
are made and garner support shows that we *do* face at the very least a
communication problem with regards to editing.

As to whether homeopathy is a quack science or not, it is not for us
Wikipedians to decide - we only have a duty to faithfully and
proportionately present all the major points of view, appropriately
sourced, in a way as impartial as it gets.

Best,
