Hoi,
I am on record that it is vital for any subject matter to have a substantial
coverage on the English Wikipedia. I am on record that this is true
particularly for India. This is because most people prefer to read the
English Wikipedia.

When you want to change the consensus on the English language community, the
only place where this can be done effectively is on the stomping grounds of
its community. I want India to be heard where it counts re en.wp.

The issues around the Indian chapter and the indigenous Indic languages have
no better place then the wikimedia-l. These subject matters are most
effectively dealt with here and maybe on the chapter's wiki.

I want to involve as many people as possible but I want their efforts to be
effective. Discussing English Wikipedia related topics on this list is not
effective.
Thanks,
      GerardM
