Pages about streets and local buildings don't have to sound like tourist guides. They can be encyclopedic too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Street http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masjid_Sultan The articles above need some work with citations, however you will find numerous examples from Europe and North America where streets and local buildings have articles on them and their history. An example would be a project undertaken by Wikimedia UK called "Monmouthpedia": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:GLAM/MonmouthpediA Replicating this kind of project in an Indian city is possible, but may be difficult given the lack of coverage of minor topics in books and on the web. > > > _______________________________________________ > Wikimediaindia-l mailing list > Wikimediaindia-l@lists.wikimedia.org > To unsubscribe from the list / change mailing preferences visit > https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimediaindia-l > _______________________________________________ Wikimediaindia-l mailing list Wikimediaindia-l@lists.wikimedia.org To unsubscribe from the list / change mailing preferences visit https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimediaindia-l
