Charity Christmas cards and calendars are ordered in about March for sale in August onwards, which is regarded as "in time for Christmas".
We also don't have the typical charity Christmas shopping demographic - our donor demographic wants everything available online and instantly and probably doesn't start thinking about Christmas until December. Payroll giving is definitely something we should offer when we are a charity, but is in no sense easy to set up (and it's also very much an ugly duckling in the fundraising world, lengthy discussion as to reasons why).
