I have created an improved version of Hagindaz's Wiki2LaTeX
(http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/User:Hagindaz/Wiki2LaTeX) tool, which
helps creating PDF versions of books. It can download the whole book
with images and automatically generate LaTeX source code, which can be
directly translated into a PDF file. Still, some knowledge of LaTeX is
required, but the tool can greatly reduce time of preparing PDF version
of a textbook.

Currently it supports output in two languages (Polish and English), but
adding support for new ones is quite easy.

The description of the program can be found at
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/User:Derbeth/javaLatex. Example output is
here: http://pl.wikibooks.org/wiki/Grafika:C.pdf.
