Apologies for not replying earlier. I have managed to get the attention of WMF staff and they have pushed this to the right section within WMF to talk to Google.
I suggest that we give them a week to get their head around the issues, and be able to ask questions. This falls into the important, though not screamingly urgent, category. We should have a Phabricator ticket for this.
