Commit summary for Wikimedia.r1266: Added select() to Db_Adapter_Abstract. Jpostlethwaite's comment: I can see how that could things difficult. My reasoning was that is was available for anyone who wanted to use StandaloneGlobalCollectAdapter. James had mentioned that GlobalCollect might like to have access to this code to share with others. I have not figured out where to put everything yet in regards to testing.
