No idea about performance, but about the UI:
I think it's useful for some and instructive for the rest.
In the times of Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr etc people are quite used to
navigate through these boxes. I mean, the ones surviving the upper part
of a Bugzilla page with all those form fields. ;)
