A change to the Apache configuration accidentally overwrote the HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO server environment variable and caused MediaWiki to think that all requests were plain HTTP rather than HTTPS. This caused infinite redirects in the MediaWiki features that were intended to force HTTPS for logged-in users.
