Thank you Pau, and to all of the folks involved in the process. In addition
to the UX designers, design researchers, UX engineers, and brand folks in
communications, the Team Practices Group and Community Liaisons were
intimately involved. Internal stakeholders and folks from the broader
community played instrumental roles as well.

Defining the statement of purpose was a truly collaborative process. It's
been awesome to see it all unfold and it's great to see such a clear final
product.

Having jointly developed a shared understanding of the purpose of design
within the design group and between the design group and their stakeholders
may seem simple - and it is, as Pau articulated, by design (pun intended) -
but going through a process like this is never easy. In addition to the
increased and shared clarity around what design at the WMF is trying to
achieve at a big-picture level, this document can and will serve as a
useful tool in many different levels of decision making - from day-to-day
team-level and product decisions, to big and challenging strategic
decisions.

Big thanks again to everyone who has been involved!
