A small TIL, Chrome has been championing this proposal, which I believe
would solve the performance concerns that have been raised before about
using web fonts, allowing us to have a more fine grained control about the
behavior.

Right now it is Chrome only, and Firefox and Webkit have it in development.

Something to keep in mind for the near future!
