Upcoming this Thursday (3-8) United Launch Alliance will be launching
STP 1 (Space Test Program 1) multi satellites for the U.S. Air Force on
a Atlas 5 rocket, 401 configuration, designated AV-013 from Launch
Complex 41, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

Liftoff is scheduled for 9:37 p.m. EST. with a window extending 2 hours
and 5 minutes to 11:42 p.m. EST.

Orbital Express spacecraft release happens about 18 minutes after
liftoff, MidSTAR 1 spacecraft release happens about 22 minutes after
liftoff, STPSAT-1 spacecraft release happens about 56 minutes after
liftoff, then CFESat spacecraft release happens about 61 minutes after
liftoff and then FalconSat 3 spacecraft release happens about 65 minutes
after liftoff

Orbital Express, a DARPA project, contains: (SHIMMER) fully autonomous
rendezvous and proximity operations payload and (CITRIS) on-orbit
satellite servicing payload.

MidSTAR-1, a US Naval Academy project, contains: (ICSat) demonstrate
moving spacecraft data via RF link and (CFTP) Commercial-Off-The-Shelf
configurable, fault tolerant processor, a Naval Postgraduate School project.

STPSat-1 Space Test Program, contains: (SHIMMER) chemical and biological
agent detection payload and (CITRIS) atmospheric electron counting and
RF effects payload.

CFESat, a Los Alamos National Laboratory project, contains: detection
and geo-location of VHF/UHF signals payload and reconfigurable on-orbit,
Single Event Upset mitigation techniques payload.

FalconSat-3, a US Air Force Academy project, contains: (MPACS)
micro-propulsion attitude control system, (FLAPS) atmospheric
characterization of the ionosphere payload and (PLANE) plasma turbulence
characterization around spacecraft payload.

This is the first Atlas 5 launch for the U.S. Air Force.
