Look at the Epson 960 but then I see someone doesn't like it.  In
magazine
tests it comes up as best overall.  However, personally I like the Canon
(go here for independent reviews http://www.photo-i.co.uk/ ) i8500 pixma
but my friend has the pixma 4000 and the output is fantastic so the 5000
and 8500 must be 200% better.

Last year PC Pro magazine did an exhaustive test on almost every photo
printer on the UK market with test using original ink and refills. OEM
paper and about 10 different makes in each printer.  They also tested
against sunlight and fade over time naked and behind glass.
