To take a chance and jumping into this "hot" "private" discussion <G> Remember I am from the 60's when paranoia ran wild....
This talk of removing the hard drive....I agree with Wayne, if I am inside the puter, then just reset the CMOS/BIOS and remove the Pwd protection on boot. Have had to do that many times for clients that forgot the Pwd protection on boot in the CMOS/BIOS. However, any of these suggestions, e.g. remove the hard drive, remove the CMOS battery, will be obvious that someone has tampered with the puter. (See previous post) so start dusting the keys on the keyboard if the 357 did not go off<G> Daniel Wysocki Twin*.*Computers Fast Reliable Wallet-Friendly ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wayne Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 30, 2005 5:48 PM Subject: Re: Windows Screen Saver Password: How Secure? > At 05:11 PM 3/30/2005, Andy typed: > >I didn't realise this was a private discussion, my apologies. > > There is no such thing as private unless it's off list. > -- ---------------------------------------- WIN-HOME Archives: http://PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM/archives/WIN-HOME.html Contact the List Owner about problems: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unofficial Win-Home List Members Profiles Page http://winhome.wavijo.com/
