He tried it on his desktop - same thing - but they insist removing this key 
fixes it for 99% of the people. I still think they are nuts. 

On SR - it backs up the registry so it should be enough - but I'm not sure I 
trust it anymore. It's not supposed to touch My Documents, but does... the 
other day (when my usb case and 100 gb drive arrived) I tried to use true image 
to restore the image from the old drive. (It kept hanging when it tired to 
reboot.) I finally figured out that it was because I installed Disk director 
first and didn't include the boot manager. So I rolled back to the initial 
install (made using the Toshiba restore cd). I had the install file for true 
image in My Documents and SR wiped it out. It shouldn't have.. even though it 
was an exe (and they are not safe from SR) but since it was in the documents 
folder, SR should have left it alone.

The only thing I would suggest before making changes to the reg files is to
do a complete back up of the files and not just a system restore point,
since that does not save everything and I am not sure the changes would be
saved.
