I had a similar problem yesterday. I was having a problem installing WinXPH
on a neighbors computer. I was trying to wipe out all traces of the aborted
installation, so I deleted the NTLDR file from the C:\ folder. After that,
the computer would not even begin to boot from the hard disks or the CD
drives, only from a floppy. I booted with a Win98SE startup disk, asking
for CD support, and then copied the NTLDR file from the WinXPH CD, in the
I386 folder, to the C:\ folder. After I did this I could boot the machine
again from the hard disk and the CD drive. This may or may not be
applicable to your situation. HTH
