BTW for future reference... Without DHCP, a computer normally needs the following four IP addresses to function properly on a network:


 Machine IP address
 Subnet Mask
 Gateway/Router IP address
 DNS IP address

If a static IP configuration is to be used, those four IP addresses NEED to be known and entered.
