You know how sometimes a Web site gives a spoiler and uses the same color font as the background so that you have to highlight the text in order to read it? That's sort of how the U.S. military is protecting classified information.
I can assure you that classified U.S. military communications are encrypted very heavily. I worked for them for 30 years in the electronic communications area.
Apparently, a PDF showed up online with classified information blacked out--but not deleted--so it could be copied and pasted, then read.
A one-time goof by a clerk does not a policy make.
