Sorry about sending this twice, but I need to get this problem fixed, and did not see any replies. I was in the hospital since I sent in the question and am working a little slow.

I have a program that often uses 100% of CPU and the computer locks up if I click on anything when it is at 100%. My use of Windows Task Manager lets me know when it is safe to do other things, by the CPU% indicator icon in the lower right of the taskbar. The problem is that the icon disapears for weeks at a time, sometimes I can get it back by going to taskbar properties and resetting the hide and show checkbox. Sometimes it does not work and I must restart. Sometimes restarting does not return the icon. What else can I do to fix this problem?

Thank You Joe Harrison
