Hi all,
Wow, parenting skills advice too!
There are many reasons I want to use a timer to shut down the PC, they vary
from not being home to make sure it's off (shift work is a bind sometimes)
to not wanting to clutter the living areas with more PCs and wanting to
allow her freedom to use the PC as she likes, but for a reasonable time.
Her mother wanted the thing sold, so a timer is a good alternative all
round (I don't lose a fortune with the sale, daughter keeps PC and mother
is happyish until she finds something else to rant about.)
Decided to go for Accurate Shutdown, it has all I need and a little bit
more. Worth a look, 7 day trial and only $25 to buy.
Thanks again for all the help, advice and info.
