Hi, The answer for me was "yes". I have 2 98SE PCs + 1 Win2K (which "owns" the printer), & the relevant (latest) drivers are installed on each. When installing on the PC(s) which are remote, just say it's for a network printer, & on (virtual) port LPT1.
Caveat! Note that I have a problem in my set-up with EZ-Armor, in that I'm waiting for the registry patch (like in earlier versions) to allow the 2K PC to print at normal speed/reaction time. Some print jobs take 10 minutes to get going! & meanwhile, my daughter can print out 10 pages of stuff for school from her 98! Computer Associates have tried & so far failed to fix this one (this time!). Re: stability: 98SE is OK if you have good hardware & mess about with caution! I can understand that those who've bought a PC with ME etc already in it & haven't changed anything are quite happy too! Except for a lady I know - next time I have to re-install on her PC, I'll sneak in 98SE instead!
