A friend has an E machine running Windows XP, SP2. One of her

C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt the system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and MS Windows Applications.
This usually means the autoexec.nt file has been deleted or
corrupted. The file's batch commands look pretty generic. I
usually just replace the file with a copy from another XP
computer. Usually from the same version of XP to be safe. But
like I said, it's pretty generic looking, so a copy from any
version of XP most likely should/would/[appears to :) ] work.
Or you might look in the Windows\repair folder to see if there
exists a copy that is usable. The file can be edited with any
"text editor" to check for any irregularities in the commands.
The default XP autoexec.nt file can also be extracted to that
folder from any source containing the XP installation files.
She used to play this game on her computer, but it stopped
about 2 months ago.
This system was loaded with spyware and the like. I have
cleaned it up, but Tripeaks still won't run.
BTW that's the same error displayed when the WinPatrol
installer does not find that file in that folder. :) Some
cacaware will delete or edit that file upon installing. Which
is how I most frequently run across this error... while
cleaning out cacaware infestations.
