This did not work either. I used efvery combintation of the buttons
mentioned with no effect.

setup the window as you want it, then save the settings by using file
close
while holding down the shift and/or ctrl key
(I am not sure of the combination)

Also there seem to be multiple versions of the settings recorded
according
to the means that you used to start the explorer session
so you may have to open and save the windows using the start explore,
right
click from My Computer and control panel etc.
