Wordpro 96/97 Document, Part of the Lotus SmartSuite.
This was a Lotus product. Lotus was bought out by IBM.
Before IBM bought up & ruined all the Lotus products Lotus had bought up
ruined Amipro which was a darned nice word processor. :-(
Wordpro never really caught on because Lotus/IBM had ruined it & that was
one of the main reason that Lotus SmartSuite [Office] never caught on. IBM
was trying to tie all the Lotus apps together & while they did an ok job of
that portion they just had to monkey with some things that weren't broke,
YET ! Occassionally one can find SmartSuite being given away with
something else. I still actually like Lotus Approach better than I do MSFT
Access because Approach still uses the old standby DBF [dBase III+] files
then adds their beautification [GUI] to another file while Access has the
GUI & database all locked down in a proprietary file format. :-(
Ah I miss the old days. It's too bad that many times the better apps were
killed off by terrible marketing.
