One doesn't use ICS if they have a 24/7 high speed connection. ;-)

I suppose one is not suppose to mess with DNS on dialup.



A 24/7 connection doesn't preclude using ICS to connect a local network to the internet. It is an option to using a router.

Normally you shouldn't have to mess with DNS on any DHCP setup. As always there are exceptions to this rule.
