Just drag the hearts to a position and mine stayed where I left them.

I do know the person, and I did inquire about the system. It is windows xp
on a lap top. It is the my favorites in AOL. When the individuals favorites
were re-ordered they wouldn't stay put, but jumped back to the original
order. Is there a way that one is supposed to relocate them for a permanent
fix.
