The long bar at the bottom of the screen between the Start Button and the
System Tray at the right is
called the Task Bar. The Task Bar is used as a container to hold executing
applications that are currently
running like Word or Acrobat and any other application or utilitiy which you
may be using.
You can change the Task Bar at any time just by Right-Clicking on the Task Bar
and select Properties to
change the items you wish.
The small area just to the right of the Start Button is the Quick Launch area
wher you can quickly execute your most common everyday programs like IE,
Outlook for example.
BTW that egocentric twit that put IE and OE on the Quick Launch is Microsoft
of course. ;)
To remove these from the Quick Launch area Right-Click on the Quick launch Bar
and uncheck the Show
Quick Launch Bar and poof they are gone.

Would SKS please review for me the Bottom Line on the screen -- from Start
to Clock. What are these areas called? I use 98se, the last righteous OS.
How is the area just to the right of Start edited?
What egocentric twit put IE and OE there? And how do I get rid of them?

Jim
