More info:
The type of OEM will "can" buy from NewEgg, (etc.)
is limited to one SPECIFIC machine forever.
If you get a new motherboard with different (better) features,
you get to pay MS for a brand new license... (YMMV)
If you replace the MB with a similar one with the same features
(or anything else they approve) you can keep using it.
There are rumors (and anecdotal stories) about how
MS will "cut some slack" or forget the rules, but anything
they "let slide" in the past is no guarantee of what they might
do in the future. They think 30% of the world steals their
software, and they want the rest of that money.
