Several years ago the UK gov' decided to trial a year long BST (GMT+1)

Personally I found it Ok but the squarkers got in and claimed that childern
had to walk to school in the dark and it wasn't light until gone 09:00.
Shouldn't make a lot of difference nowadays as hardly any kid walks to
school - they arrive in SUV/MPV etc even in the UK.

It would make life here a bit easier as we are part of Europe and they are
GMT+1 or GMT+2 in the summer all the time even in Spain where the 0 deg
meridian runs anyway. The Canary Islands are the only part that are on GMT
or BST. Although having said that the new EEC countries are +2.

Saving energy - never---------------- saving daylight? Getting more
daylight when we can enjoy it maybe!

Anothr job for the bean counters @ $4K a month to discuss it.
