How would you go about removing spyware, etc. from a slave drive that
is permanently installed in your pc?

IMHO this does NOT work, when a drive is hooked up as a slvae/data drive
and scanned (for AV and/or malware) certain areas are ignored as it is
not a "system" drive :(
