Hello all
thanks Hugh, Wayne, Mark, Dave, James,
Richard,JimB, Ken and all other valued referees.
Your advice and response is much appreciated, as
always. BTW the Rand is +- R6.80 to the $,
approx R8.40 to the Euro and approx R11.55 to the
Pound. (and as we say here ... ag shame, but
we'll make a plan!!)Interesting - the apple
angle- I was giving it some thought, Hugh. No
good buying anything from here as the backup
service on most anything is non existent even
with guarantees and whilst I can put together a
tower with the best of them I am just not at home
with anything that slots into trees,is extra thin
and overheats at the drop of a chip. Not to
mention we can NEVER get replacement bits for
anything smaller than a house without it being
imported. Reason for deciding on a laptop is that
I shall be moving around a bit and lugging a pc
and periphs just isnt viable. Not to mention that
where I can afford to live once there will be
broom cupboad dimensions.Besides,I have to spend
all my money on an eskimo outfit so I dont
endanger my extremities!!
Best regards and thank you all
