The PC is like a Ford car - you can get spares on any street corner for 2c
a bucket full and anybodies grandmother can fix it with a bent hat-pin in 4
sec flat blindfolded with one arm behind their back.

This is a stretch, but since it concerns a car computer I'll continue...

I'd like to see a modern car that can still be fixed that way...

We had a sensor go in my wife's car -- (it always<?> seems to be a sensor
going instead of a real problem...)
They wanted $500 to replace a part I knew the car did not have...
(Or at least a major variation of something it did have, but the wrong type...)
(We have a Calif emissions engine on the USA East Coast...)

I bought a car computer scanner/reader, the right $200 part, the special
installation
tool and still kept it under $350.

Wish I'd have known the hat pin trick... <grin>
