For a number of years I have been using GFI's products: Mail
Essentials for Antispam and Mail Security for Content
Checking/Antivirus
I feel like both apps have gradually become weaker over the years,
e.g. GFI insists that if they are installed on the same server, the
content-checking app supersedes the anti-spam app so you can imagine
all the "dubious-content" emails I had to approve/deny that would be
weeded out if they let the anti-spam app delete messages to
non-existent users first - I had to split them onto 2 servers to get
around this.
The latest version of Mail Security has taken things to an all-new low
- to the point that I can't even get it to work without it deleting
every email as it processes it :-/
Anyway, I think it's time to look around for an alternative. Can
anyone recommend a single application/suite of applications/appliance
that can do the following:
Anti-Spam:
Sender Policy Framework (SPF) support
Directory Harvesting Protection
Bayesian Engine
DNS Blacklists
Spam URI Realtime Blacklists
Header Checking
Keyword Blocking
Custom Blacklists
Custom Whitelists
Content Checking:
Subject/Body Keyword
Attachments
Virus/Trojan Horse/Email Exploit/HTML Threat Checking
