I'm not in to gaming or anything with high end graphics, so I really don't know
much about video cards other than how to install them. So if my question
sounds a little dumb, please forgive.

I have a widescreen flat panel Sony monitor/TV on the wall of a conference
room. My boss wants to add a PC to that room, and connect the PC to the TV via
the S-Video out on the video card (using the S-Video in on the TV). Is that
what those S-Video ports on video cards are designed to do? Using that kind of
cable, will he be able to use that TV just like a computer monitor, or does
that require the use of a VGA cable (the TV also has VGA inputs). He would
like to have a widescreen desktop.

He wants to be able to use the PC to display powerpoint presentations during
meets, and also to play DVD's using the PC.

Thanks,
Brian Rudnicke
