Visited that link last night. Did a bootlog, but it stopped at a strange
place.

[000A4B94] Dynamic load device C:\WIN98\system\IOSUBSYS\ensqio.vxd
[000A4B96] Dynamic load success C:\WIN98\system\IOSUBSYS\ensqio.vxd
[000A4B97] Dynamic load device C:\WIN98\system\IOSUBSYS\bigmem.drv
[000A4B98] Dynamic load success C:\WIN98\system\IOSUBSYS\bigmem.drv

Note that the ensqio seems to load. Wonder if bigmem is not memory related?

Thanks Andy for a very detail work here. I still mess with win98 for that
reason - you can still fix many things, if you have quick fingers at the C
prompt. I've only been beaten a couple of times, where I had to re-install
:-) Of course if the HD looses crucial data, I may loose this battle.

Lifted a good set of the drivers from a cd and overwrote those in my dir, no
help.

More and more, I'm thinking corrupted disk. Tried scanreg and it told me
reg could not be fixed. I've had a couple of cases recently where win files
were lost as a result of possible corruption. Should have switched disks at
that time - serves me right :-)
