That's not true, at least with BofA. I've had repeating payments setup in Quicken for years and I had to call the bank to disable one once that I had deleted back in Quicken 99 and there was a bug that didn't issue the stop correctly to the bank. So I had an extra payment go out that I didn't want to until I got the bank to cancel the recurring payment. In that case Quicken didn't know there was a repeating payment any longer, but the bank did.
