Rick,
Sorry that you took my response at face value..
UAT is User Acceptance Test -
the bit where, when they say OK, then they gotta pay
- so any excuse to not say OK
(Wait - when I said it was 'OK', I didn't mean it was actually working
properly and acceptablly.)
---------------------------
However, thanks for the detailed and informative reply.
Must say I didn't realise that QuickBooks offered such a comprehensive
service
My bit about Debit card was that I phoned a supplier, and paid by debit
card, got discount for paying within the month (and then the money only went
from my bank account 4 days later - interest and discount together!
The bit about Scandinavian banks was because UK banks keep saying they
cannot clear payments that fast
and the government response is OK, we accept that you are doing your best
Interesting that in the UK, if you want the paid cheques back, you have to
pay extra for that
( well from all the banks I know of)
And - unless they can charge you extra for it, don't expect the UK banks to
bother about dates on cheques
they will usually just pay them regardless - the rule is, apparently, only
there for use when it will inconvenience the customer.
And I do like the QuickBooks delivery guarantee and support if a cheque is
not delivered.
