Since one program works and the other does not,
I'd start with the firewall.

I started over with a clean install of the old 98SE and am back in business
with my basics.
This morning I discovered that Outlook 2000 won't send and receive mail but
Outlook Express works fine. I am squinting at the account information and
both are using the same settings as far as I can see so I am about to spend
what appears to be a wonderful sunny fall Saturday scratching my head and
searching places like Diane's site for Outlook info.
