When I opened the message, I found that Baker Randal PSNS had written:

This reply doesn't address your question, but I can certainly
identify with the taxes added to Qwest! You start out with a basic
phone bill of, say $39.95 and then your bill is fifty-
something..even if you don't use it.

More importantly, this post is to save some hassle for those of you
using DirecWay. Vonage doesn't work on it. I ordered it, tried it,
and it didn't work, so they blamed DirecWay.....after telling me it
might work.

One more thing...................they tell you that your card won't be
charged for the one-month trial period and then they slam your
card immediately.

And another thing.............I'm still trying to get "return
instructions". I'm disputing the charges with my CC company in
the meantime.

So, it's real easy to sign up and much, much harder to "unsign".

In their defense, my friend from Florida calls all the time using
vonage. Clarity is great and he has only had intermittent
problems, but wouldn't use it without a backup cell phone or
something.

So, it appears that if Vonage will work for you, there will be no
hassle. If it doesn't, you have a problem....or at least a hassle.

Regards,

Jim
